Government: Monarchy with constitutional parlamentarism
Head of state: King Karl Gustaf VII
Capital:
Ruling race: Human
The Northern Empire is a force to be reckoned with as they have a sizeable army and a decent navy. Where they are lacking is in industrial production at least in comparison to the Commonwealth or Hauberian Empire, but they have a higher production of raw materials like wood, ore and crops as the empires holds large arable areas, forests and mineable mountains. Population wise, the vast majority live and work the land in some way. Because of that, the major cities in the empire have less population than those found in other empires.
The empire has highly centralized government, making any and all decisions go through the capital with the consequence that every major task takes much longer to handle. Another consequence is that resources are prioritized to the capital and its surrounding area, making development and improvements lacking the farther away from the capital one comes. Because of this there are growing conflict between the nobles and the regent as there are calls for governmental reformation among the people, asking for less centralization.
Historically, the area that is now the Northern Empire
consisted of multiple
areas ruled by tribal laws
and local rulers that over time fought for dominance.
